I am back in Penang. This time in Penang is like a holiday - well it feels like a holiday even though I am back here this time for work. Reason being is that I am staying in a hotel and not at my parents home - so it feels like a holiday. Of course it lacks my mom's home cooked food and the warm feel of family.
Gurney Hotel is not a new hotel but is comfortable and surprisingly spacious. What I was impress with was the courtesy call that they made to ask if the room was ok. As one of the aircon unit was not working in the room, they promised to send the maintenance guy to check.
I was out of the room before they reached and when I got back, I found the room with the air-cond repaired and switched on. Soon after, there was a message left in the room to inform that they have had the aircond repaired.
Well, the service that was rendered was impressive. I guess it does make up for the rather old carpet and curtains. Anyway, no complains.. is still comfortable here.
